SOD for January 1: Lily/Cane: "The romance between Lily and Cane heats up, and Neil's not to happy about it."


SID 2008 Preview:Lily & Cane will continue to be surprised by the intensity of their attraction to one another. "But the obstacles they are facing will not make a relationship easy," Hammer (co-headwriters) cautions. "There are people who oppose them having a relationship; there is their age difference and they are also not completely recovered from their previous marriages. So they're kind of hesitant to throw themselves into love, but their hearts dominate their heads." Not surprisingly, Amber is one of the main opponents to a Cane and Lily coupling. In fact, Hammer says that watching Cane fall for Lily will motivate Amber in all out war to get her former faux hubby back. "Amber doesn't just have one scheme - she will create plans that will attack on more than one front," he promises. "She's going to be very, very busy trying to win Cane back."

The judge rules that Victor give Nikki a generous divorce settlement, but Nikki is to hand over NVP to cover her loan. Gloria tells a stunned Michael and Lauren that she and Jeff were married in Las Vegas. David meets with a man and promises to pay him in full in two weeks. The man asks where he is going to get the money and wonders if Nikki knows the truth about everything. The man refers to David as "Clark." Lily realizes that Karen spent the night with Neil. Jack meets with Gloria and agrees to give her everything she wants, until she demands the mansion. Jack wonders if he is being unreasonable, but Sharon supports him. A ghostly John pushes Jack to find a new home with Sharon and Noah. Sharon tells Jack they are not leaving the mansion. Gloria learns that the judge has agreed to give her the house, and rushes to tell Jack the news.
